I don't know where the years have gone, My twins were six on Saturday and had a party yesterday - 20 6 yr olds screaming around an indoor play centre with 40 pressies to unwrap later - Barbies, glitter & pink stuff everywhere! The weird thing is I don't really remember the first 2yrs at all - I suppose I was a bit busy - Twins and a three year old ! but people keep saying I have a pic of you with H & L doing this & that & I honestly can't remember any of it. Hannah said she now feels grown up - like a teenager !!lol and Louise has suddenly this morning started reading fluently after struggling a bit - she says it's because she is now six and that makes all the difference apparently lol. Today they are so gorgeous I want to squeeze them and on other days I could run away from them. I suppose thats normal - I hope.
Anyway I just wanted to share our great weekend.

Sounds like you all had a lot of fun with their party Seems like only yesterday mine were at that age! Time flies so quickly when they're young. Enjoy them Jan cos they grow up all too soon

Thanks for the Birthday wishes - we are still tripping over pressies and eating cake, thay had a lovely time - and yes Donna I was glad when it was over - a sit down with a large glass of something cold was much needed!!

It is scary how they grow up so fast - I don't know whether it is this generation or if all parents feel the same.

Time certainly does fly. One minute they're babies and the next minute you have crane your neck to look up to them. *lol*

It sounds like the girls had a wonderful party.

I remember once, AJ had a party (I think he was 5 or 6) and I had 17 of similar-aged little......darlings running amok in my house, blowing whistles and shrieking. I too had a large glass of something cold afterwards, if I remember correctly. lol

Ah! lovely memories.

Kids grow up when we're not watching. I SWEAR that my son is only 10.... off playing little league, then watching tv with me with his head on my shoulder. I KNOW he is. I can SEE him in my mind like it was yesterday.

Unfortunately, he knows that he's 18 and completing his military basic training this week. The man (I guess I can't call him a child any more *sad sighs*) has grown up regardless of what I still see in my mind's eye when I think of him.

The trouble is that I'm only now getting good at this mother thing, and I want those years back!!!!

I know just how you feel Dyan. I swear that Andrew is still a toddler, running up to me and me lifting him high above my head. If I tried to do that now, I'd end up in traction for the rest of my days! lol

I'd love to have those times back again too, with both of my sons but alas, it's not to be and so we have to cherish our wonderful memories. [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
